The white-tailed deer is a cervidae and is indigenous to North-American. It can reach 7 feet long and over 3 feet across the shoulders. It lives mainly in the forests, marshes and clearings. During summer, the white-tailed dear’s coat is reddish-brown; during winter it becomes greyish-brown. Males generally boast antlers, which start to grow in April and continue growing throughout summer. White-tailed deer are often found in abandoned fields, in orchards, regenerating areas and clearings in leafy and mixed forests. |
The deer hunting season starts September 22th and ends October 7th.
