Black bear
The black bear is a legendary game among many hunters. In addition to providing a very good meat, it is adorned with a remarkable fur. You will have the opportunity to hunt on freshly baited sites from a viewpoint or from a tree-stand. We practice bear hunting in zones 10 and 11 West.
The black bear is the most common bear in North America. The color of its fur varies from cinnamon to chocolate brown through black, but most black bears have a dark shade of brown. Despite their size, black bears are surprisingly agile in their movements; They prefer forests, but they move with the seasons to find food.
Opening dates
You can hunt black bear in Canada in spring or autumn.
- from May 15 to June 30, 2011 (for firearms, crossbow and bow).
- from September 19 to October 2, 2011 (for crossbow and bow).
- from October 24 to October 28, 2011 (for muzzleloader, crossbow and bow).

We offer a black bear hunting package that includes full board accommodation in one of our 4 stars cottages, and six days of hunting with 2 pre-baited sites with treestand /per hunter... Also included in this package: butchery (packaging the meat) and skin preparation.
All our properties are private: so there is no hunting pressure. You have the possibility to fish anytime (Bass & Northern Pikes). Airport pickup service is available upon request.
If you shoot your bear quickly, you will be able to enjoy many other activities which take place near the lodge, such as fishing trip at La Vérendrye Parc (for walleye), ATV rides...
